How to clean common glassware and test tube in laboratory?

1. Confirm the nature and extent of contamination on glassware and test tube. Different methods of cleaning up dirt are also different, and different treatment methods can be used for the same dirt with different degrees.
2. Dust and water-soluble substances adhere to glassware. Water and brushes should be used for cleaning.
3. Deoxidizers are attached to glassware. Reducing agent can be used to clean.
4. Oil stains and organic substances are attached to glassware. In addition to volumetric instruments, other glassware and test tubes can be cleaned with dirt powder (or detergent) and brush. If the stain is deeper, it can be washed with hot alkali solution.
5. For quantitative analysis, potassium dichromate can be used to clean volumetric instruments with saturated solution (lotion) in concentrated sulfuric acid. Before using the lotion, it is better to wash the container with water or detergent, remove the water from the container, and then put it into the lotion. After washing, wash the detergent with water and then wash it three times with distilled water.
6. The lotion can't clean the reducing dirt, and the lotion has strong corrosiveness, so we should protect ourselves.
7. Turn the glassware upside down and water flows down the wall. There will be no droplets on the wall, but a thin and uniform water film. At this time, glassware and test tubes have been cleaned.
