What problems should we pay attention to when selecting tempered glass?
1. See debris: you can see whether the corner waste cut by the merchant is broken into small obtuse-angle particles, and judge whether it is qualified. When qualified toughened glass is broken, the number of fragments must exceed 40 in the area of 50 mm x 50 mm. A small number of long fragments are allowed. Glass slag should not be blade-shaped. The direction of long fragments should be roughly parallel to the edge of glass. If it is not parallel, the angle between the long fragments should not exceed 45 degrees. If one of them fails to meet the standard, it will be an unqualified product.
2. Seeing stress spot: Under some special natural light (or polarized light) conditions, we can see that there are light and dark stripes on the surface of tempered glass. The stripes with different brightness are called stress spot. At present, the most advanced technology in the world can not completely eliminate stress spots, but can reduce them. The lighter the stress spot, the better the quality.
3. Look at the smoothness: The smoothness of tempered glass is slightly worse than that of annealed glass, and good smoothness should be selected by comparison.
4. See whether it has been homogenized or not: Self-explosion is an inherent characteristic of tempered glass, which is difficult to avoid. However, if homogenization treatment is adopted, more than 90% of the potential self-explosion hazards can be eliminated. When selecting, you must read the product instructions to find out whether they have been homogenized or not.
5. See if there is a 3C certification mark on the glass. All tempering equipment factories are qualified and will print 3C logo on processed glass. The safety glass must be marked 3C according to the regulations.
