Definition of Float Glass

The float glass refers to the flat glass produced by float technology. The float technology room was invented by Sir Alastair Pilkington, an Englishman, in 1959.
Float method refers to the manufacturing float method of flat plates with uniform thickness, parallel two surfaces, and flat integration and polishing, and then annealed, under the joint action of its own gravity, surface tension, edge puller and main drive tension, after the molten liquid glass flows continuously out of the furnace, it floats on the metal tin level filled with protective gas. Its product is called float glass.
At present, the production and use of float glass in China comply with the current national standard gb11614.
