Aluminosilicate glass is a product with superior pressure resistance, which is generally used to process various pressure vessel mirrors, high-pressure liquid level gauge glasses, high-pressure boiler mirrors and other products.
1. Application of aluminum silicon glass in high pressure liquid level gauge
High pressure water level gauge is an instrument used to detect the water level on high-pressure boilers. It is widely used in petroleum, chemical industry, electric power and other industries. Due to the high temperature and pressure of this water level gauge, the observation window glass used on the water level gauge should meet the following requirements:
① It has high mechanical strength, and the bending strength should reach more than 1.5 times of the working pressure of the liquid level gauge.
② It has excellent heat-resistant stability, and the heat-resistant impact temperature is greater than 300 ℃.
③ It has a high service temperature, and the softening temperature should be above 900 ℃.
④ It has excellent chemical stability.
In the optional glass, the softening temperature of quartz material is very high, reaching 1730 ℃, but its expansion coefficient is very low, only 5.4 × 10-7 / ℃, can not be tempered, therefore, its bending strength can not be recklessly used. The expansion coefficient of borosilicate glass is 30~40 × 10-7 / ℃, which can provide strength by tempering. However, the softening temperature of the glass can only reach 800 ℃ generally. As the observation window of the high-pressure water level gauge, its service temperature cannot meet the needs. The softening temperature of aluminosilicate glass is higher, above 920 ℃, and the glass strength can be improved by tempering. It is a better performance than quartz glass and borosilicate glass. It is applicable to the observation port of high-pressure water level gauge.
2. Application of aluminum silicon glass in boiler
Ordinary mirror glass used in high-pressure boilers cannot meet the working pressure requirements, so aluminum silicon glass products made by special processes are required. Generally, boiler mirrors with a temperature less than 500 ℃ and a pressure greater than 4MPa need to use aluminum silicon glass.
