Characteristics and Application of Glass Mirrors

        Glass mirrors are special high-temperature glasses used to observe and monitor production in industrial containers, high-temperature boilers, mechanical equipment, high-temperature pipelines and other fields.

        Characteristics of glass mirrors: they have high transparency, excellent temperature resistance, good compressive strength and stable chemical properties. They are mainly used in chemical industry, metallurgy, steel plants, pipelines and other high-temperature windows and high-temperature observation holes.


 

        The specific performance is as follows:

        A product temperature resistance: 300 ℃, 500 ℃, 860 ℃, 1200 ℃, 1500 ℃, etc

        B. heat resistance stability: 180 ℃, 280 ℃, 700 ℃, 1200 ℃, etc.

        C service conditions: ≤ 1500 ℃, ≤ 25mpa

        D glass softening temperature: 820 ℃ ~1750 ℃.

        E glass color: colorless transparent, light brown transparent, blue, etc.

        F product transmittance: 80%~95%.
 

        Use of glass mirrors

        (1) cleaning treatment. A proper amount of alcohol cotton can be used to gently wipe the surface before use. Note: do not use acidic liquid for cleaning, so as not to corrode the outer surface of the glass.

        (2) correctly select the gasket. When the ambient working temperature is within 280 ℃, asbestos pad or tetrafluorocarbon pad can be used. When the ambient working temperature exceeds 500 ℃, it is recommended to choose graphite pad. Note: the thicker the glass, the greater the thickness of the selected gasket.

        (3) apply force evenly. Do not use excessive force during installation. It is recommended to use even force to lock the screws diagonally.

        (4) regular inspection. After the mirror glass is installed, it must also be checked regularly, especially in the liquid environment containing acid and alkali, and the corrosion degree of the glass surface should be checked regularly to ensure the safety of front-line operators.
