1. Cutting of fine glass tube and rod. When cutting the fine glass tube and rod with the diameter of less than 5mm-10 mm, first place them on the edge of the table, press the edge of the triangular file and grinding wheel vertically on the place where the glass tube is to be cut off, push forward with force to make the file mark reach 1 / 3 or 1 / 4 of the tube circumference, then pick up the glass tube (bar), hold the back of the file mark, press the glass tube (bar), and pull back with a little force at the same time to break.
2. Cutting of thick glass pipe and file cutting: wrap three layers of transparent tape tightly on both sides of the cut-off part of the thick glass pipe, file a circle of nicks along the cut-off part and deepen them until they can be broken by hand. First, the part to be cut off shall be surrounded by resistance wire along the fine mark, and the cross of resistance wire shall be separated by heat-resistant insulation material (or leave a small gap of 1mm-2mm). The resistance wire can be made by heating and straightening one of the 150W electric furnace wires. The resistance wire can be adjusted from voltage regulator or low-voltage power supply to very low voltage power supply. When the resistance wire is red hot for about one minute, drop a drop of cold water at the fine mark, and cut off the power at the same time, the glass tube will be disconnected along the fine wire.
3. For the cutting of flat glass, first determine the cutting size on the glass to be cut and mark it. When cutting glass, you should hold the knife with your right hand and press the ruler with your left hand to make the side of the knife lean against the wooden ruler to cut. What is left on the glass after the cut is just a nick, not a cut through of the glass. You can use a glass knife, pliers, small hammer and other things to knock from the bottom to the top at the glass center line on the back of the score until the score cracks, and then use force to break it.
