In order to improve the corrosion resistance and decoration of large stainless steel flange, it is necessary to polish the surface of stainless steel flange. At present, there are mainly three polishing methods: manual, mechanical and chemical polishing and electrochemical polishing.
Chemical polishing of large stainless steel flanges is to smooth the flange surface by regular dissolution. In the process of chemical polishing, passive oxide film and oxide film are formed on the surface of large stainless steel flange, and the former is stronger than the latter. Because of the micro-inconsistency of the surface of large stainless steel flange, the micro-bulge part of the surface dissolves preferentially, and the dissolution rate is higher than that of the concave part; furthermore, the dissolution of the film and the formation of the film are always carried out at the same time, but the rate is different, which results in the smoothness and brightness of the surface of large stainless steel flange. Polishing can fill surface pore, scratch and other surface defects, thereby improving fatigue resistance and corrosion resistance.
