Glass for high temperature equipment can be divided into two categories, one is high temperature resistant glass, the other is high temperature observation glass.
1. High Temperature Resistant Glass
High temperature resistant glass for high temperature equipment is installed on high temperature equipment, which can withstand the high temperature produced by the combustion of hot fluids, molten liquids, gases or materials in the equipment, and can work safely below 1500 C. The quartz sight glass can withstand the sudden change of a certain temperature and is suitable for the use of equipment with alternating cold and heat. High temperature resistant glass used in high temperature equipment is usually transparent glass sheet, which is round, square, trapezoidal, step or other abnormal shape. It has various shapes and can be processed according to the requirements of the equipment. There are many classification standards for high-temperature glass. According to the use temperature, high-temperature glass can be divided into 300 glass, 500 glass, 860 glass and 1200 glass. Because 1200 glass is used at 1500 temperature, it is also called 1500 glass in the industry. According to the use place, it can be divided into chemical high-temperature glass and metallurgical glass. High-temperature glass, oven high-temperature glass, fireplace high-temperature glass, boiler high-temperature glass, lamps high-temperature glass, printing and dyeing high-temperature glass, electric heating plant high-temperature glass, optical high-temperature glass, etc. According to their functions, they can be divided into high-temperature observation window glass, high-temperature baffle glass, high-temperature mirror glass, high-temperature glass viewcase, high-temperature glass. Water level gauge glass, high temperature viewing hole glass, high temperature checking hole glass, high temperature tuyere glass, window high temperature glass, etc.
2. High Temperature Observation Glass
High temperature observation glass is a kind of glass for observing high temperature conditions. The difference between high temperature observation glass and high temperature resistant glass is that it can not withstand high temperature itself. High temperature observation glass mainly includes cobalt blue glass and furnace observation mirror. Cobalt blue glass is a kind of blue glass used to observe kilns in cement and glass factories. The commonly used specifications are 50*107mm, 2.5mm or 3mmm in thickness, and the maximum specifications are 400*500mm. The kiln observation mirror is a kind of glass which can observe the material and wall condition in the kiln. It is made by coating process. It can observe the high temperature of 800 ~2200 C. It is suitable for high temperature environment such as steel plant, power plant, glass plant, boiler and so on. It can effectively filter out the strong light and harmful light, observe clearly, and protect the eyes.
