The main production methods of quartz glass are as follows:
1. 2. Vacuum Resistance Furnace and Vacuum Pressure Furnace Technology: From Vacuum Atmospheric Pressure Furnace to Vacuum Pressure Furnace, there are three kinds of furnaces, large, medium and small, with the largest diameter of 4 meters. Heating depends on a row of graphite rods and melting crystals in the oven. Large pieces of optical quartz glass tubes can be produced. Now all infrared optical quartz glass for military use is used. Continuous melting furnace technology: using crystal sand or high-purity quartz sand as raw materials, tungsten and molybdenum as melting and electrifying materials, the temperature can reach 2100 ~C, continuous heating, continuous feeding, continuous drawing of quartz glass tube, the normal production is about one year. There are many shortcomings in the process of domestic continuous melting furnace.
