Correct use of glass gauge
1) General Principles
When the highest accuracy is required, it should be operated according to the conditions of calibration as far as possible, and the calibration value of indexing error should be required. The front gauge should be cleaned and corrected properly if any deviation is found in the calibration.
2) Volume bottle
If an aqueous solution is prepared in a volumetric bottle, it is not necessary to dry it after cleaning with distilled water. The method of diluting the aqueous solution is recommended as follows: adding the substance to be dissolved into a proper amount of water, heating it appropriately and shaking it to dissolve if necessary. Then water is added to raise the liquid level to a few centimeters below the scale line. After mixing the bottle stopper, rinse the bottle with water to raise the liquid level to 1 cm below the scale line. Open the capacity bottle stopper and let the bottle neck liquid drain for 2 minutes. To make the solution reaching room temperature, the bottle stopper can be capped and waited for some time. Finally, a certain amount of water flows down the bottleneck from a point less than 1 cm below the scale line, so that the lowest point of the bending liquid level is set on the scale line. Cover the bottle stopper, shake and reverse the volume bottle, so that the solution is evenly reserved.

After cleaning and drying, the measuring cylinder is filled with the liquid to be measured to several millimetres of the nominal capacity or required markings, and then the excess liquid is sucked out with a straw.
