Screen printing is one of the hole plate printing methods. Silk, nylon, polyester, steel wire and copper wire are stretched on the frame as plate materials, and the patterned screen plate is made of photosensitive or hand engraved template. Pour the glass glaze slurry on the screen, press and slide on the screen with a rubber scraper, and the glaze slurry will be squeezed out through the mesh of the hollowed out pattern part and adhered to the glass surface to form the required pattern on the glass surface.
Compared with other methods, the plate making method is simple and low cost. The printing machine is relatively simple, which can be semi mechanized or fully automated. The printed pattern is clear, the thickness of the glaze layer is uniform, and the color can be set, and the pattern obtained is consistent.
Due to the tolerance of the layout, it can be printed on quite rough surface and curved surface, with a wide range of applications and high production efficiency. Screen printing is divided into cold printing and thermoplastic printing. Cold printing is screen printing at room temperature without heating; thermoplastic printing is screen heating for printing.
