The characteristics and uses of the common glass
Flat glass is a traditional glass product, mainly used for doors and windows, which plays the role of light transmission, wind protection and heat preservation. It is colorless, has good transparency and smooth surface, no defects.
The thickness of the flat glass is divided into 2 mm, 3 mm, 4 mm, 5 mm, and 6 mm, and the size of the single piece is 300 mm × 900 mm, 400 mm × 1600 mm, and 600 mm × 2200 mm. The visible light reflectance is about 7%, and the light transmittance is between 82% and 90%.
Tempered glass is a method in which it is rapidly cooled by heating to a certain temperature or a chemically treated glass. Its characteristics are high strength, its bending strength and impact strength are 3 to 5 times higher than ordinary flat glass.
