  Sight glass fittings are circular flanged ports for welding into and onto the vessel wall. The block and the cover flange are screwed together tightly, with the sight glass disk and an independent gasket to the upper and the lower flange respectively positioned between them. 
   Note. After installation, but before putting the fitting into operation, it is necessary to check the weld (tightness, homogeneity), and adherence to the tank shell frame and the tightness of the apparatus according to the requirements of technical inspection.
