When it comes to glass used in buildings, furniture, and vehicles, two common types are tempered glass and regular (annealed) glass. Though they may look similar at first glance, their properties, performance, and safety levels are quite different.

Regular glass, also known as annealed glass, is the standard type of glass formed by slowly cooling molten glass to relieve internal stresses.
